Our first lady has just wrapped up her first full year in the White House, and this week, she announced that she is going to be making some changes over in the East Wing.
Melania Trump announced that she had successfully filled three important roles on her team, including: Director of Policy, Director of Operations and Communications Coordinator.
The additions mark one of the largest expansions of her East Wing staff to date. I bet she has some really exciting plans for the next year while getting comfortable in her new official capacity.
She chose former staffer for the National Security Council, Reagan Thompson, to be her Director of Policy and he will oversee the first lady’s “policies and initiatives”, as it stood in the White House statement.
She chose Justin Caporale, who worked on the Trump campaign, for Director of Operations, and his duties will “include managing the day-to-day logistical operations of the East Wing and planning travel.”
Annie LeHardy from the West Wing press office will be moving in order to serve as Melania Trump’s Communications Director. This is what Melania has stated:
“I am looking forward to adding these quality professionals to my already stellar team. Everyone filling their respective and vital role has resulted in true professionalism in their chosen career. I believe they will enhance my work on behalf of children everywhere and help me further expand my role as First Lady of the United States.”
