There are rumors about Oprah Winfrey preparing to run for president ever since Sunday, when she gave a speech that brought Hollywood’s liberal elite to their feet at the Golden Globes. Now, her presidential dreams may be over before they even started as some damning videos from her past have just come back to bite her.
In a clip from the 1990s, she expresses doubts whether Jesus Christ is the only way to heaven, violating basic Christian beliefs – take a look:
An audience member asked her “What about Jesus?”, and her response was repeating the question. As Christian Newswire reported, she then explained that she had been a Baptist until she heard a charismatic Pastor say that God is jealous, which made her really stop and give it a thought.
This is what has been stated by said Don Swarthout, President of Christians Reviving America’s Values:
“Oprah Winfrey has exposed her own lack of understanding about God – he may be a God of love, butit is the same God of justice and judgment. The point is – there are millions of Christians that live in the United States that thoroughly believe what Jesus taught in the Bible. For Oprah Winfrey to come out against that teaching is simply appalling. She should think before she starts preaching her own unfounded beliefs to the world on her show.”
This happened just after another damning clip of her surfaced. In it, she bashed older white Americans, saying they “just need to die”. During an interview in 2013, Oprah was asked if she thought racism has “gotten better” and does she consider that problem solved – this was her answer:
“The problem is not solved, and as long as people are judged by the color of their skin it won’t be solved. I am saying this for apartheid South Africa, for my own community in the south — there are still generations of people, older people, who were born and bred and marinated that prejudice and racism. They just have to die.”

With clips like these floating around, it will be very difficult for Oprah to get her presidential bid off the ground.
