Obama felt no shame to say show that he is not the biggest supporter of our military. He made it virtually impossible for them to protect themselves on the battlefield with the changes he made to the Rules of Engagement (ROE), which resulted in the deaths of dozens of American warriors.
Since Trump’s in office, things have taken a drastic turn for the better. He always shows love and appreciation for our military – no matter is it chasing down a Marine’s hat that’s blown off, simply visiting them, going to a fallen soldier’s funeral – his care and compassion for his citizens knows no bounds.
He had an opportunity to honor our veterans over Veteran’s Day and he unsurprisingly took it. One of the veterans did something totally unexpected after Trump’s remarks:
Standing with veterans behind him, our President said:
“Every veteran is a national treasure, I thankful for their service, sacrifice, and patriotism.
To each of you here today, you are heroes! Each of you, under the most difficult conditions, did what you had to do, and you did it well.”
While Obama was making everything on planet Earth about him, Trump turned the microphone over to the Vietnam heroes that were standing behind him and giving them the opportunity to say whatever was on their minds. The third one, said a few words only and then choked up and turning to the president, saying:
“I am thankful for all your support. It’s really an honor to be here representing the 58,000 heroes that never made it home. Thank you so much,” the veteran said.
Then, the veteran hugged our President and started weeping. Take a look at the following video, the touching moment starts at 3:55:
