Throwing tweet punches toward Sessions became a regular thing for the President. The face to face standoffs between them two do not show any signs of diminishing.
Trump is so disappointed with Sessions, who is frustrated with the fact that he can not recuse himself from the Russia investigation and focuses on running the Justice Department. I don’t think that he will find his gold star replacement any time soon.
According to 100percentfedup:
Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, Eric Holder and Loretta Lynch better start lawyering up…
The President is allegedly thinking of bringing former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani on as his Attorney General, as White House sources told Axios.
Axios’ Mike Allen wrote that the President “has just pondered the idea of nominating Giuliani” for Jeff Sessions’ job position.
Trump stated he wouldn’t have hired Sessions if he knew he’d recuse himself from the Russia investigation:
“He takes the job, gets into it and recuses himself. I think that’s very unfair to the president. How do you do such thing? If he would have recused himself from the job, I was not oging to take him. So now, I end up with a second man, a deputy.”
When he was choosing his top cabinet officials, Giuliani insisted on being named the secretary of state and allegedly, was not interested in other top posts, the attorney general as well.
