It’s All Over: Meghan Markle Refuses Queen’s Demand

American actress Meghan Markle was ecstatic when the United Kingdom’s Prince Harry recently proposed to her, and now, she may be having second thoughts after finding out that she will have to follow certain strict royal rules and traditions.

According to Freedom Daily , in order to marry the prince, she first has to get the permission of Queen Elizabeth herself – a rule that dates back to 1701, when the Act of Settlement was passed to prevent a Catholic from getting the crown. Bearing in mind the fact that the actress has been vocal about her disdain for President Trump and that raunchy photos from her past that have leaked, she might be having some difficulties with getting the queen’s permission.

The royals want to stay out of politics and not to give away which side they lean on, which is why it came as bad news to Markle when an interview in which she slammed the president while he was running for president surfaced – she was asked how then-presidential candidate Trump’s momentum could be slowed down and this is her answer:

“It’s the moment that I go, we film Suits in Toronto and I might just stay in Canada. If that’s reality we are talking about, that is a real game changer in terms of how we move in the world here.

Of course Donald Trump is divisive, just think about female voters alone. It was maybe in 2012 when the Republican Party lost the female vote by 12 points, which is not a small number at all and with as misogynistic as Trump is and so vocal about it, that’s a huge chunk of it. You cannot just vote for a woman if it’s Hillary because she’s a woman, but certainly because Donald Trump has made it easy to see that you don’t want to live in that kind of world that he’s painting.”
