James Comey Just Called President Trump A ‘Liar’ And A ‘Weasel’ And Immediately Regretted It!

Former FBI Director Comey took to his Twitter account and launched a thinly veiled character assassination attempt on the president. After having bungled Clinton’s private email server investigation, Comey was fired and now faces potential criminal charges for obstructing justice and lying to Congress.

“Everyone should appreciate the Bureau speaking up. If only more of our leaders would. But take heart: according to American, in the long run, weasels and liars never hold the field, so long as good people stand up. Not a lot of schools or streets named for Joe McCarthy,” said Comey.

He actually called President Trump a “weasel” and a “liar”! He seems to be referencing a statement from the FBI released several days back that objected to the release of the memo, authored by Devin Nunes. According to the statement, the bureau had “grave concerns about material omissions of fact that impact the memos accuracy.”

Anyway, on Thursday’s edition of Fox News Channel’s “The Story,” Representative Matt Gaetz reacted to what Comey tweeted invoking former Senator Joseph McCarthy. This is what Gaetz said:

“I would remind  Comey: I’m not sure if too many schools or streets are going to be named after him once the memo is available to the public.”

He also dismissed claims that the Memo was misleadingly altered and says that the changes were grammatical in nature.

According to  Fox News:

Sources have stated that the version of the memo Trump plans to declassify has “technical edits” made because the FBI wanted so, and that this new edited version was shown to five FBI officials at the White House who were satisfied that the edits addressed concerns they had about an earlier version of the memo that has already been reviewed.

Allegedly, the memo is critical of the FBI’s use of surveillance during last year’s presidential campaign, particularly in the initial stages of its investigation into alleged collusion between Russia and then-candidate Donald Trump.

Below, you can see the response of everyday, regular Americans on Twitter – they are finally beginning to see the truth and speak out against the corruption in Washington.
