Meghan Markle is expected to strut down the aisle at St. George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle in May, and before that disastrous undertaking, she managed to take a few more pot shots at President Trump.
As the big day approaches, the she and the pricnce are no doubt whittling down their wedding guest list. A source close to the matter has stated that Ms. Markle has made a single demand of her fiance Harry – she would not want for Donald Trump to attend her wedding.
Before the beginning of the summer of 2016, Ms. Markle was asked on “The Nightly Show with Larry Wilmore” should the momentum surrounding then-candidate Donald Trump be stopped. In her response, she held nothing back:
“It is the moment that I go, Suits has been filmed in Toronto, and I might stay there. Come on, if that’s reality we are talking about, that is a game changer in terms of how we move in the world here.”
Probbaly, Prince Harry wont’t invite the president because of this. He could claim that they wanted to invite only people they know, keeping in mind that the both of them have not actually ever met.
On the other hand, the Queen had something to say about this.
According to The Daily Mail, the 32-year-old royal won’t be asking former President Obama to his upcoming nuptials. Allegedly, Queen Elizabeth herself intervened and explained that it would be a “diplomatic timebomb” if Obama was invited and Trump wasn’t.
“There will not be an invitation for President Trump. The wedding will be for friends and family only”, is the excuse that a source told the publication Harry prefers.
Harry has been a guest editor of Radio 4’s “Today” and he was asked if he would be inviting Barack Obama:
“I’m not sure”, is what he said. “Neither the invites nor the guest list have been put together yet, so who knows? He might be invited, he might not be. I wouldn’t want to ruin that surprise.”
The Queen herself has spoken, and sorry Meghan, if Donald Trump can’t come, neither can Barack Obama.
