Mueller’s investigation into Russian interference in the last year’s election has finally begun phase two! Now, he is supposed to interview White House officials. This investigation has been distracting enough for the White House, but now it got even worse. According to the New York Times, Mueller talks with many old and new senior administration officials, as well as the recently ousted White House chief of staff, Reince Priebus.
He is asking questions about specific details about meeting and who attended them. One of the thing that he has dedicated most attention to is the firing of James Comey. Mueller believes that when Trump fired Comey, he obstructed justice. Now he’s looking for evidence to prove that.
The past couple of weeks the investigation has seemed so boosted. Just last month he decided to execute a search warrant for Paul Manafort, Trump’s former campaign chairman – he had the FBI raid his home.

Manafort then decided to switch legal teams, he is in the process of retaining his former counsel, Miller & Chevalier, to represent him in the office of special counsel investigation. Of today, WilmerHale no longer represents Manafort. The New York times reported that the FBI seized “tax documents and foreign banking records” from his residence.
